Women Of Winter

After a 2-year COVID break, Women of Winter is back in action.

Date:  Wednesday February 15, 2023

Time:  9:30 to 3:30

Registration Starts:  Arrowhead Nordic Club Members – Thursday December 1
                                               Non-members – Thursday, December 15

Fees:  $70.00 per person.  NO refunds
If the event is cancelled (Pandemic, weather etc) we will issue refunds less our administration costs.

Please note: Participants are required to have a Provincial Park Vehicle Pass which is NOT included in the registration fee. A Winter Pass is $60 for the season, or $21 for the day. An annual pass is only $100.  We strongly encourage you to purchase a season’s pass and enjoy Arrowhead and other provincial parks throughout the season. Seasonal permits may be purchased at most provincial parks.


Schedule for the Day:

9:30 Meet and Greet with coffee and snacks.

10:15-11:45  Group Ski Lesson – You have the choice of Classic or Skate at 3 levels:

Beginner / Intermediate
Intermediate / Advanced

12:00 – 1:30  Lunch and Guest Speaker.   Lunch is provided.

1:45 – 3:30  Afternoon Activities.

You have the choice of either two 1-hour activities, or one 2-hour activity.

1-hour Activities:
Fat-biking  (Bring a helmet!) (with Carlee from Algonquin Outfitters)
Showshoe Yoga  (Bring a yoga mat)
Guided Ski of Arrowhead Trails

2-hour Activities:
Snowshoe Hike
Ice Skating on the Arrowhead Skate Trail

You must provide your own equipment for all activities except fat biking (bring a helmet).  Skis, snowshoes, and skates are available for rent at the Visitor Centre.  

Ski Rentals:  This is the participants responsibility.  Ontario Parks group rental rates.

Classic Ski Set:  $17.50
Skate Ski Set: $23.00
Snowshoes: $10.00
Ice Skates: $10.00

Bring a yoga mat if you wish to do yoga!  Bring a helmet for fat-biking.
