Women of Winter - WOW!

The 2020 Women of Winter is now FULL!

Mark the date!  Wednesday January 22, 2020.

We had so much fun at the Georgian Nordic Women On Skis that we decided to create our very own Women of Winter!

Location:  Arrowhead Provincial Park Visitor Centre (Birches Parking Lot)
Date:  Wednesday January 22, 2020
Time:  9:30 – 4:00

Cost: Registration includes a Provincial Park vehicle and ski pass.  All participants must have a ski pass and vehicle pass!

Before January 7, 2020:
$70 for those who do not have a ski pass for Arrowhead Provincial Park;  
$58 for Season Ski Pass Holders (use the SPP discount code on the registration form)

 After January 7, 2020, fees increase by $10.

Registration deadline is January 19, 2020.

Schedule for the Day:

9:30 Meet and Greet with coffee and snacks.

10:15-11:45  Group Ski Lesson – You have the choice of Classic or Skate at 3 levels:

Beginner / Intermediate
Intermediate / Advanced

12:00 – 1:30  Lunch and Guest Speaker.   Lunch is provided.

Our Guest Speaker is world adventurer Katherine Suboch.  She will tell us about her hut-to-hut ski trip in Charlevoix, Quebec.
Door Prize Draw

1:45 – 3:30  Afternoon Activities.

You have the choice of either two 1-hour activities, or one 2-hour activity.

1-hour Activities:
Fat-biking  (Bring a helmet!) (with Carlee from Algonquin Outfitters)
Showshoe Yoga
Guided Ski of Arrowhead Trails

2-hour Activities:
Snowshoe Hike
Ice Skating on the Arrowhead Skate Trail

4:00:  Wrap-up

You must provide your own equipment for all activities except fat biking (bring a helmet).  Skis, snowshoes, and skates are available for rent at the Visitor Centre.  

Ski Rentals:  This is the participants responsibility.  Ontario Parks group rental rates.

Classic Ski Set:  $17.50
Skate Ski Set: $23.00
Snowshoes: $10.00
Ice Skates: $10.00

Bring a yoga mat if you wish to do yoga!  Bring a helmet for fat-biking.
