GNOAC is an outdoor activity centre in Parry Sound with great nordic ski trails. You can purchase your day pass and ski / snowshoe rental equipment at the burrow.
Women on Skis – Sunday January 20 – There will be food, and fun while you pick up tips from the expert instructors. Enjoy a delicious lunch and snacks in the Burrow. Don’t forget that there are great door-prizes!
The Opeongo Loppet is on Saturday January 26, 2019. This is a classic event with distances of 2.5, 5, 10 and 20 km.
Located in Brudenell, Ontario, Opeongo Nordic is 40 minutes east of Algonquin Park and only 15 minutes south of Hwy 60 at Killaloe (Brudenell Road).
Opeongo Nordic is a non-profit, volunteer-operated cross country ski club. We offer groomed classic and skate ski trails over rolling wilderness terrain.
Silver Spoon Cross Country Ski-Fest
The 47th Silver Spoon Ski Fest in Deep River is on Saturday February 2, 2019.
Started in 1973, this annual tradition brings together both competitive and recreational cross-country skiers. All ages can enjoy courses from 0.5 to 15 km along beautiful wooded trails. Races are mostly classic, with some skating sprints.
The event is hosted by the Deep River Cross-Country Ski Club (DRXC), located between Ottawa and North Bay on the shores of the Ottawa River.
Classic Lesson: January 6, Midland, at 1:00pm, 1-hour lesson for 8-10yr old and 15 and up intermediate recreational skiers
Skate Lesson: January 26, Orangeville, at 1:00pm, 1-hour lesson for 8-10yr old and 15 and up intermediate recreational
