Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club

Located in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada

Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club(ANSC) operates our programs in Arrowhead Provincial Park, just 5 km north of Huntsville, Ontario. The park offers 33 km of beautifully groomed classic and skate trails that range from beginner to expert. The Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club (ANSC) is fortunate to be able to work closely with the park. While the park maintains and administers access to the trails, the ANSC runs the children and adult ski programs, hosts races such as the Muskoka Loppet and the Elementary Race Series and social events like Full Moon Ski and Sunrise Ski.

Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club strives to work collaboratively with Arrowhead Provincial Park to promote and develop Nordic skiing in the Muskoka region

In 1998, Paul and Lea Jorgensen, and Mike Derbyshire started a JackRabbit Program operating out of Arrowhead Provincial Park.  The program was immediately successful with growing enrolment in the first 2 years.  In 2000 Paul gathered a group of keen individuals to start a ski club in Huntsville – the Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club. The main focus of the club was initially the JackRabbit program.  However the club has grow to include youth, racing and adult programs as well as special events such as the Loppet and Women of Winter.
