Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club

Located in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada

Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club(ANSC) operates our programs in Arrowhead Provincial Park, just 5 km north of Huntsville, Ontario. The park offers 33 km of beautifully groomed classic and skate trails that range from beginner to expert. The Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club (ANSC) is fortunate to be able to work closely with the park. While the park maintains and administers access to the trails, the ANSC runs the children and adult ski programs, hosts races such as the Muskoka Loppet and the Elementary Race Series and social events like Full Moon Ski and Sunrise Ski.

MISSION STATEMENT:

Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club strives to work collaboratively with Arrowhead Provincial Park to promote and develop Nordic skiing in the Muskoka region

HISTORY:

In 1995 Muskoka Nordic Ski Club was formed to provide racing club structure for local high school athletes to compete at the Ontario Cup circuit. Subsequently, in 1998, Dan Roycroft was selected to the National Team Development Center in Thunder Bay. During this time, there was another group called Huntsville Jack Rabbits instructing Nordic Skiing for youth in the Region. In 2000 the two groups agreed to combine efforts to create Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club. Over the years the club has continued to grow and develop.
